Waitomo Caves
Today we leave Whitianga and head down the coast and then inward to Waitomo. Waiitomo caves are made of limestone and lie beneath the green countryside. Caves carved by rivers of water..leaving stalactites, stalagmites, cave coral,columns and lots of fossills and GLOWWORMS! by the zillions!! as we float in the underground caves in a boat in the pitch dark the whole ceiling is a glow, looking like stars in the sky, then they shine the flashlight and you can see the webs hanging off them to catch their prey..ewwww
Out of the caves and we board the not so magic bus and head on back to Auckland. and Valentine;s Day
