Corfu 4.25.08
Today we are at Corfu also known as Kerkyra in Greek. Corfu is located between Italy and Greece surrounded by the Adriatic and Ionian Sea, it is one of the Ionian islands which is green and forested in contrast with the Cyclades islands that are dry and rocky.
I went on the bus for a tour of a monastery and a beautiful drive around the island of Corfu, with all it's vineyards and olive trees. We climbed to the highest point on the island for gorgeous views of the island and sea, and a one way road barely big enough for the bus! We stopped at a lovely restaurant at the top for a plate of greek tapas and some Ouzo and amazing views!!!
As we made our way back to Corfu town it was packed with visitors from all over Greece on holiday for Easter. We were able to see the old and new parts of town and the ancient forts.
